Impact and Research Assistant
We are looking for a bright, motivated, tech savvy individual to help us use data to demonstrate the impact of our work. The Union of Kingston Students are developing an exciting new space in the Kingston Town Centre and you will play an important role in ensuring we are grasping a picture of how the space is being used, as well as supporting research across the rest of UKS. In this role, you will maintain a database to a high standard of accuracy so that we can be prepared to provide data support to emerging priorities as they develop.
When working in the Creative Meanwhile, you’ll assist the Business Development Team and Not My Beautiful House staff with logging data fields to develop a picture of the demographics of students, events running in the space, and how much the wider public are utilising the environment. You’ll work closely with the research team in the Students’ Union to draw a bigger picture of how the space is used.
You’ll be using the Creative Meanwhile space to assess the project’s development and impact. With support from the Research & Insight staff, you will develop monthly reports which will be shared with external stakeholders and union staff to help navigate the future of the space.
You should be organised, able to plan and meet deadlines. You’ll be good at communicating verbally and in writing, and have basic numeracy and IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
This role is being created through the Government Kickstart scheme. To qualify, you must be aged between 16-24 years old and currently unemployed and on Universal credit.
