Finance and HR Assistant

We are looking for someone to assist with HR and finance of the Creative Meanwhile space, growing accounting and organisational skills.

You’ll assist the Finance Coordinator with financial enquiries and procedures. You’ll be responsible for liaising with the finance and business development teams on student payments, stock levels and sales. You’ll work closely with students and graduates selling work through the space.

You’ll help manage our database of clients, and assist with finance procedures such as invoicing, budget tracking, monitoring sales and income using spreadsheets and other software. You will deal with financial enquiries from students, graduates and community, providing updates and signposting to relevant departments.

This role would be suitable for people with an interest in finance, accounting or HR. You should be organised and a confident user of systems. You’ll have good numeracy and IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

This role is being created through the Government Kickstart scheme. To qualify, you must be aged between 16-24 years old and currently unemployed and on Universal credit.

Work Location
Creative Meanwhile Space on Fife Road and Union of Kingston Students Office on Penrhyn Road, in Kingston upon Thames, as well as some remote working from home.

Finance and HR Team

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
-Assist the Finance and HR department with the accounts, finance and HR processes of Creative Meanwhile.
-Assist Creative Meanwhile team managing the database of clients, stock and payments
-Work with Creative Meanwhile panel and art market students to ensure we keep an up to date list of stock and cost of stock
-Assist with finance and cash handling on site when needed
-Liaise with external commercial and charitable organisations as well as Union and University departments to ensure payments are made on time
-Respond to and investigate financial enquiries from clients and customers, signpost to relevant departments
-Invoice clients and chase invoices from students
-Assist customers where necessary in a timely and professional manner
-To undertake any other reasonable additional duties as required
